Fine Arts — Questions We Get Asked
BFA and degree tracks require 10+2 in any stream. Diploma programmes are open to 10+2 candidates as well. Admission is based on counselling and a portfolio or drawing sample where relevant — there is no entrance exam.
Between 1 and 4 years. BFA is a 4-year degree, other degree and diploma tracks run 1–3 years depending on specialisation.
Drawing and painting, sculpture, printmaking, art history, colour theory, composition, contemporary and digital media, and independent studio practice.
A portfolio helps but is not mandatory for all tracks. Foundation drawing is taught from first principles, so committed beginners are accepted after a counselling session.
Practising artist, illustrator, concept and storyboard artist, art educator, gallery and curatorial professional, or further study at the postgraduate level.
Yes. Students work in dedicated studio spaces with easels, printmaking and sculpture facilities, and take part in exhibitions and the Meraki annual showcase.
